I moved from Bensenville, Illinois to Boulder Colorado in 1996, pursed my masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction at the University of Colorado at Boulder. I was a middle school Math and Science teacher for 8 years before taking over as the  Head Cross Country and Track and Field Coach at the Colorado School of Mines.  I currently live in Golden, Colorado with my wife Erica Siemers, and two dogs Buster and Sandy.  I enjoy reading the Economist, dabbling in stocks, video games, and long walks along the beach.  I have always enjoyed training and racing and hope to remain competitive over the next three years when I become a Master's Runner.
